Контейнер для комментариев в теме под 7ку выглядит так

<div class="<?php print $classes; ?> clearfix"<?php print $attributes; ?>>

в шестерке было так

<div class="comment<?php print ($comment->new) ? ' comment-new' : ''; print ' '. $status; print ' '. $zebra; ?>">

никак не соображу как для7ки прикрутить...
