Доброго времени суток всем, собственно сабж. Прикрутил SMTP Authentication Support. Насколько понимаю, идет оповещение о новых сообщениях по мылу. С сообщениями все ок, а вот с оповещением проблема.
настройки:
сервер: smtp.mail.ru
порт: 25
не криптуется

пасс: пасс соотв-но
Результат:
«Невозможно отправить e-mail. Свяжитесь с администратором сайта, если проблема повторяется.»

Думал что проблема в том, что поставлена VC6 вместо VC9 а ля: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7645483/php-startup-unable-to-initial...

apache 2.2, php 5.3.10, mysql 5.5.25.
Есть подозрения, что придется пересобирать весь сервер (чего разумеется оч. не хотелось бы)... в общем, господа, я в глубоких раздумиях.
Заранее благодарен за любые советы.

I had the same problem, php5.3.8 used in xampp 1.7.7 was compiled with the vc9 compiler. The last version of php_ming.dll supported by php.net was compiled with the vc6 compiler. Evidently the vc9 compiler versions of php do not tolerate older compilers. php.net does not support ming although its documentation does. Support for ming now resides with libming.org. But you will not find any binaries there.
To solve the problem you can get the code from libming.org and compile it with a vc9 compiler. Alternately, if you don't need ming, you can comment out the ming extension in the php.ini file. What if any flash capability you have left I am uncertain.»

Ребят ну ответьте уже хоть кто-нибудь! я уже не знаю что делать(
в конце концов хоть на х** пошлите что-ль... что б хоть какая-то определенность была =/
ни SMTP Authentication ни PHP Mailer не хотят отправлять...
не могу разобраться в чем проблема, и как её пофиксить =/
ладно если бы дело было в некорректно собранном сервере на локалхосте, так ведь и на хостинге та же беда...

лол, Crea, таки помогло))
разобрался) глюк в sendmaile на локале + некорректная раздача прав на хостинге)
в итоге и там и тут какбе не работает, а вот причины различны) что и сбивало с толку
Я поставил PHP Mailer, всё заработало
